Fast and Loud
I’m just back from attending what seemed to be a three day meeting of the Michael Schumacher apprecation society in Belgium. I managed to take a couple of snaps and can feel a photo essay coming on. All I’ve got to do is dry out everything I own and I’ll be off and running.
Bad Weather
This weekend I’m off to the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa Francorchamps with the 70’s throwback, my brother and nifty Nigel. I thought I would check out the forecast to see how much factor 30 sunscreen I should pack. I wish I hadn’t bothered now as, according to the BBC it’s going to be cold, …
Moleskine 2005 Diary
I’ve mentioned their notebooks before, in fact they are probably still on my wish list, but Moleskine have just released their Diary for 2005. Even though I am a full time carer, and therefore skint, I ordered one as soon as I found out they were released. Don’t worry dear, I ordered one for you …

Commiserations to the nice people at Team New Zealand, your skipper for the next Americas Cup only managed unlucky thirteenth in the Finn regatta at the Olympics. The goods news, though, is that they have signed up the bloke who won, one Ben Ainslie, who just happens to be a Pom. I know one native …
Square Eyes
Once more I find myself riveted to the television viewing a major sporting event. I have to say that I am rather enamoured of the coverage provided by the BBC. I’ve mainly been watching the sailing, at least when JFGP will let me take a break from building towers of bricks and cups for him …
Treats
Last night I treated my beloved to a celebration meal. We went to Fifteen, just off the City Road and very fine it was too. Sadly they didn’t accept washing up duties in payment (or fridge defrosting for that matter) so today the hunt for a new job starts in earnest. Step one is to …
Grammar Police
Two things. My beloved gave me a copy of Eats, Shoots & Leaves as an anniversary present, so I shall be tracking down rogue apostrophes and shooting them on sight. You have been warned. Secondly, when did medal become a verb? I have repeatedly heard on the Olympics telecast phrases such as "they medalled at …
