ID Cards Coming Soon

According to the Guardian today Mr Blair is going to introduce national identity cards sooner rather than later. The article includes this pearler;

“Mr Blair insisted that the government had won over those who opposed the controversial move for civil liberties reasons …”

Oi Tony! Over here son. I still haven’t been convinced. My position hasn’t changed since last October and I haven’t heard anything from you on the subject, so how can you say that the doubters have been won over?
