I have been appreciating the service and app from https://tnnslive.com/ who have great #live #tennis scores and reports. Really great when there are multiple tournaments to keep up with and an invaluable asset in my (Australian) morning to check what happened overnight. Keep up the good work team!

Dear #lazyweb, what's the considered best practice for application configuration (settings and secrets) in a #python #cli command line application in 2026? I see lots of advice on the web but most is quite old and I don't want to miss out on the new hotness (if there is any).

@dsalo would be interested to hear, slightly concerned that it’s a commercial product and therefore subject to the same kind of influences as Bitwarden. I’m currently running Keepass(XC) and Strongbox which is ok, but a good open source cross platform password manager would be more than welcome.

Ok hive mind, any idea why it is no longer possible to get a data only #4g #mobile plan in #Australia with a small data cap? I used to pay $8 a month for 4Gb which is perfect for my iPad. That’s now gone to at least $20 for 30Gb or more which is way too much. Were they just not selling?

This morning’s #music playlist has been albums that have titles beginning with ‘A’. From the classics; Abbey Road and Aja to some more obscure, but still great recordings - Alaska by the Silver Seas, Asleep in the Back by Elbow, Andromeda Heights by Prefab Sprout and the always gorgeous Apple Venus, Volume 2: Wasp Star by XTC. Cracking listening!

@skinnylatte my work motto for the last 15 years has been “it’s never the technology”. I usually follow that with - get everyone to agree what we need to do and I’ll tell you how to use technology to help.
